Yu-GI-Oh 5d Duel Transer Wii Video Game Review

Want to know a way to become a better player without leaving your home? If you happen to have a Nintendo Wii you can play the latest game available, Yu-GI-Oh: 5d Duel Transer.

You see I bought this game since I'm not able to go play with my friends all the time. This will allow me to stay focused on my target, which is to become a better player. Remember the more you play the better you get.

I've never played any of the previous video games, so I really didn't know what to expect from it. I was hoping it would be like a real duel. Guess what!!! It is!!! I'm really impressed with the game play. It does resemble an actual duel. Even up to how you get your cards for your deck.

You start off with a starter deck and some money, they call it LP. In order to get new cards you have to duel people and earn some points, which you can use to buy packs. The type of packs you can buy depends on who you have defeated in a duel. If you beat officer Trugg, you can purchase Duelist Genesis packs which you can pull his amazing syncro monster Goyo Guardian. Once you defeat Yusei you can pull his star synchro monster Stardust Dragon. The same goes for Jack Atlas with Red Dragon Archfiend.

The packs you can choose from range from Dark Beginnings all the way to the most recent Duel Terminal 4. I wish I could pull cards in real life like I do in the game. I say this because I pulled a Pot Of Duality in the first 5 packs I bought of Duelist Revolution. And you know that is one of the 5 top cards from Duelist Revolution.

The type of decks you play again in the beginning are not that great. But remember you don't have that many great cards in your deck to begin with. As you start to win more duels and get better cards, your opponents decks become better too. So the game keeps it a fair battle.

One of the best things I have learned from the game is the timing of certain cards. Meaning when can you play certain cards. It actually reminds you of either a quick spell or trap you can play at that moment. Having it pop up all the type can be a bit annoying after a while but you can change that setting. I have not since I really enjoy the feature. It has won me some duels due to me forgetting I could use a card to stop what they were doing. So it's a great learning tool too.

The only thing I disliked about the game is that it comes installed with the banned list prior to September 1. So you can play with Heavy Storm, Mind Control, Rescue Cat, etc... So you can't play all your spell and trap cards in fear of getting hit with the storm. Funny how one card actully changes how people play. I've seen the true power of heavy storm in the game.

Now if you have WiFi you can install the latest banned list. So it's not really an issue unless you don't have WiFi.

The game can help you become a better player because you can build any deck you want to test play with and against. Decks like Blackwing's, Lightsworn, GBs, gravekeepers or whatever you want to try. You can figure out their weaknesses and see what their big plays are, so you know how to stop them. You may also just wanna play them without having to buy them in real life. You can test them out to see if you like them before spending $100's of dollars on the key cards and hating it.

I almost forgot, you also get 3 cards. They are not the greatest cards in the world. But you can only get these cards when you purchase the game. The cards are Ape Fighter, Roaring Earth and Clsed Forest. They all deal with beast type monsters.

If you have a Wii and want to improve your game play and become a better player, you have to buy this game. It's a must have in your yu-gi-oh tool box.

Namco Museum by Namco - Video Game Review

Namco Museum by Namco is one of the most refreshing releases of old-school games that I have ever played. Do you miss the good old days when you spent hours eating yellow pellets and running away from ghosts with your favorite video game character- Pac-man? Have you been itching to play Galaga, so you could shout all those pesky bugs to bits once again?

If so, you should definitely get yourself a copy of this game for the Game Boy Advance. While the same title may not have sold well for the more graphically advanced gaming consoles such as the Nintendo 64 and the Dreamcast, this old-school game is perfect for the portable gaming console.

This game allows you to play 5 of the best arcade games of old:
(1) Ms. Pac-Man,
(2) Galaga,
(3) Pole Position,
(4) Dig Dug, and
(5) Galaxia.

That's 5 great games for the price of one. Obviously, you don't expect breathtaking graphics from this game. What you should expect though is a long lasting gaming experience that will keep you happy for years to come. After all, there must be a good reason why the appeal of these classics has lasted for more than a decade.

If you want to experience the best Namco games ever created, then you should purchase a copy of this game, if only for posterity's sake. Who knows, the younger ones in your family or circle of friends may end up enjoying this collection of games as well. A good game is a good game no matter how new or old it is. So, what are you waiting for? Get yourself a copy of Namco Museum by Namco.

Dragon Age 2 review

Bioware one of the more respectable video game developers in the world seems they are on steroids. They are producing one masterpiece after another. This article will talk about the Dragon Age role playing game series. Bioware first began the RPG series with Dragon Age Origins. Then they released an expansion named DAO - Awakening. And now they have released Dragon Age 2. Origins was such a great RPG. Awakening divided the players, some liked it a lot, some not so much and others hated it. Dragon Age 2 comes to stir the pot really good with many improvements.

Dragon Age 2 is an incredible role playing game and many developers and gamers consider it a reference point in the RPG industry. Unfortunately not all the gamers have the same opinion. There are players who need, ask and demand for more. They are not easily satisfied. Those people have played a lot of video games and have developed a solid base of experience. They know what they want and need and what is important in a game to achieve the "wow" title. I am one of them. If I am going to pay for something I want it to make me scream with excitement. Did DAO 2 achieve that? No definitely not, but still the game is wonderful and totally worth the money and your time.

Mostly across US and Europe, many video game magazines gave really positive reviews but it did not get the the results of Origins. Some gave it titles and awards like: Editor's choice award, Best RPG of the decade, Greatest game experience and things like. Others stated they had many sleepless nights playing this game and they feel no regret about it.

On the other hand there were many magazines and reviewers who were not pleased as much as the people in the above paragraph. Some said that the area of setting was way too small, there were no noticeable characters, the combat system has been simplified too much and they created it to attract more new players in Dragon Age without respecting the old hardcore players, or at least do something to connect those two parts more smoothly. Others said that with all the improved polish the basics still need some work. My opinion on this is that a lot of old timers got really disappointed with the simplified system, I am not happy with it either.

The New World of Warcraft Released - Free Video Game Reviews

The New World of Warcraft Released - Free Video Game Reviews just written all about this game, so just stay here. Find more all about video game reviews, especially for The New World of Warcraft. Online gamers must already know World of Warcraft. With more than 11.5 million subscribers around the world, World of Warcraft is the leader in MMORPG. Why is it so famous and so successful? The main reason is that it is very accessible and straightforward. World of Warcraft is easy to play, even for someone who has little or no experience at all playing online game. Most newbie wouldn't have a hard time to getting started.

When you first bought World of Warcraft game, it came in 4 discs. Then you need to install the game to your computer. Don't worry. Installing this game is easy. After you install the game, the next step would be to create a game account. Connect to the internet and signup at World of Warcraft website. For signup and subscription, you need to pay the subscription fee around US$19.95 per month. But for the first month, it's usually free of charge. Most World of Warcraft CD game already consists of free subscription fee for 1st month. When you subscribe to World of Warcraft, you can choose to pay monthly, three-monthly and six-monthly. Believe me. Money is not an issue when you play World of Warcraft since the game is so much fun.

World of Warcraft operates through a series of servers. In World of Warcraft, we call these servers as "Realms". World of Warcraft has many realms around the world. Why did it need so many realms? This is to make online gamers which scattered all over the world, can just easily connect to the nearest realms. Thus making the game more reliable and faster. And in the end, making World of Warcraft more enjoyable to play. Another reason why WoW is very famous to online gamers.

Azeroth is the name of the world where World of Warcraft events took place. Azeroth is a unique world, quite similar to our planet Earth, but has its own unique history, myths and off course unique creatures. After creating Azeroth, it is said the ancient gods then gave rise to the earliest races on the planet. With its own forests, oceans, rivers, mountains, cities, caverns, dungeons, Azeroth is an interesting place to have an adventure. Just like our beloved Earth, Azeroth has gone through pain and experience much trouble. It also has gone thru great wars and conflict.

The Azeroth's world in World of Warcraft in general divide into three huge continents. The inhabitants of the three continents is not what you would find on Earth. The first continent is the Eastern Kingdom. The inhabitants are humans, gnomes and dwarfs. They are known as The Alliance. The second continent is Kalimdor. Orcs, taurens, and trolls inhabited this great continent. They are known as The Horde. The last huge continent is Northrend where the evil and wicked Lich King rules. Other than unique inhabitant race for each continent, each also has unique climate.

Blizzard Entertainment has build Azeroth as a vast world. It's huge with so many area to explore and making the game more exciting since you always find some new places for an adventure. Although you need to explore a vast world, it's easy, even for newbie, to understand the game. In World of Warcraft, you need to choose whether you're going to play as the Alliance or the Horde. The Alliance is fast, agile but weak in physical strength. The Horde is powerful, physically strong but slow. Choose wisely the character that suits you. There's no evil or good side here. You get to decide if you're going to be an evil or good character.

As in other MMORPG, you get to create and design your own unique character. You get to customize the clothing, armor, weapon, and other accessories. In World of Warcraft, you are able to choose from nine different type of classes for your character. Some of the classes type are hunter, rogue, shaman, warrior and mage. Each classes has their own unique ability, strength and skills. Combine the classes with your group of choice (the Alliance or the Horde) and create a powerful combination. Maybe all of these, choosing group and then choosing classes, sound difficult for someone with little or zero experience in MMORPG. But trust me when I say it's not as hard as it explain. You'll find it easier when you try playing the game.

The objective of playing World of Warcraft is to explore new places, developing your character while fighting monsters or other player. Every level you need to play in this game has their own interesting area for exploration. While you explore the vast world of Azeroth, along the way you will find many items. The items can then be used to strengthen your character or you can also sell or trade them. Gold is the main currency in Azeroth. Collect gold as much as you can. With gold you can buy precious items, upgrade your armors and weapons. But off course, playing MMORPG will be no fun if you don't have anything to fight with. In your adventure, you can fight monsters and savage creatures. Sometimes fighting monsters is the only way for you to progress in this game.

The control in World of Warcraft is easy to handle. The control system is sensible and makes good use of the keyboard and mouse. A newbie wouldn't have much problem mastering the control. World of Warcraft also includes in-game camera which allow us to look around and have a full view of the environment.

All in all, World of Warcraft is a great game for any type or age of online player. People with zero or even skilled gamer will still have much fun playing World of Warcraft. Every player will enjoy having an adventure in the vast and detailed world of Azeroth. They will also enjoy fighting monsters, collecting and trading items, finding rare and powerful items, etc. There are so much fun and addiction playing World of Warcraft. So... enjoy.

Dead Space 2 Video Game Review - Strategic Dismemberment Returns

First off, we have to admit at the outset of this review that we are huge fans of the original Dead Space game. The first game was so intense; I was worried that the sequel couldn't possibly be as good as the original Dead Space. On the flipside, if Dead Space 2 was as good as the first game, or gasp better, would I have to limit my playtime to the middle of the day with all of the lights on in the house... Not to mention needing an additional living breathing body in the room with me.

We also want you to be aware that this review may be somewhat brief, We don't believe in spoilers for those that haven't played a game yet, and Dead Space 2 is a tough one to discuss without dropping spoilers. Rest assured, your mom won't like Dead Space 2!

Dead Space 2 sees the return of Isaac Clarke after barely surviving his last encounter with the Necromorphs aboard the USG Ishamura planetracker. The game actually ended with a nice little twist, Isaac Clarke using an escape pod to get clear of the Ishamura only to have a zombified Nicole (his girlfriend who had committed suicide to avoid becoming a Necromorph) emerge from the shadows to scream in his face. The ending not only ended the game with a big "Holy Crap" moment, but leads into the sequel.

In Dead Space 2, Isaac finds himself being diagnosed with dementia, post-traumatic stress disorder, amnesia, and confined to an asylum on Titan Station, also known as "the Sprawl". Due to the current state of his psyche, he is unable to remember the previous three years, or even how he ended up on the Sprawl. Another Necromorph infestation ensues, and Isaac finds himself once again in the middle of it all. Tons of action, plot twists, and strategic dismemberment ensue.

The graphics and sound is top notch, and the team at Visceral Games made a few improvements that were VERY welcome. Among these improvements was an updated locator which allows you to not only get directions to your next objective, but also to the store, bench and save point(s). Zero-G movement has been improved as well, allowing more freedom of movement than the first game.

The key to taking out Necromorphs is "Strategic Dismemberment." Take off their limbs to slow them down, and eventually kill them, and save a TON of ammo in the process. The weapons from the first Dead Space return for the sequel, including the plasma cutter, line gun, ripper and plasma rifle. There are a few new weapons in Dead Space 2 that offer new ways of blasting through Necromorphs, including the detonator which lets you place laser-triggered trip mines, and the javelin gun which fires large spikes and impales Necromorphs to walls (or other surfaces).

The Sprawl is a MUCH larger environment than the Ishamura was, but there are still plenty of claustrophobic hallways and shafts that you must use to get through the game. The Sprawl includes hospitals, shopping areas, residential quarters and even a school. Each area includes a plethora of detail, including such things as alarm clocks on the nightstand that occasionally go off! While the environments vary, some more disturbing than others, the one thing that they all have in common is that you're never safe. As soon as you start feeling comfortable in an area, a Necromorph comes along to ruin your sightseeing.

There are several new breeds of Necromorphs to watch out for as well. The "Pack", which are twisted versions of human toddlers, and they like to run at you in groups. The "Stalker", much more intelligent Necromorphs that move in packs, uses cover, and attempt to stay hidden prior to attacking at tremendous speed. You also have to keep your eyes out for the "Puker" who, as their name implies, likes to puke on you from midrange.

For the most part, the game is absolutely perfect, but there is a bit in the middle that gets a little redundant. Is Isaac Clarke really THAT unlucky of a guy that every plan for escape requires him to fix something? It makes one wonder where all of the other engineers have been for the last three years because they obviously weren't keeping the Sprawl up to code...

The game includes 15 chapters and clocks in at around 10-12 hours. We took a little longer, but we're sluts for saving games... Saving every time we pass a save station (literally).

Make sure and stick around after the credits. There's some interesting dialogue that you won't want to miss!

There's plenty of replayability as completing the game unlocks new suits and new game modes. You can even start a new game using the equipment you had when you completed the game, which is a VERY nice touch.

Dead Space 2 also includes a new multiplayer mode. You're divided into two four man teams, one for humans/Sprawl Security and the other for Necromorphs. The human team attempts to complete various missions/objectives within an allotted time. The Necromorphs job is to stop the security team. The Sprawl Security force plays exactly as Isaac Clarke, while the opposing team has four different Necromorphs at their disposal: the pack, the lurker, the puker, and the spitter. Experience points are earned through online play and allow you to unlock new weapons, stasis power for humans, and stronger attacks for Necromorphs. It's a frantic fight for survival that definitely encourages team work.
